02/04/07 POWERBALL GROWS TO $27 million

02/04/07 POWERBALL GROWS TO $27 MILLION!

2/3/2007 (Powerball) The Powerball jackpot continues to grow. Even though the grand prize was not hit Saturday evening, 422,568 players across the nation won a total of more than $4.4 million in prizes in America’s favorite Game.

Because no one correctly matched all six numbers the jackpot will grow to an estimated $27 million for Wednesday night’s drawing.

The cash option for the Wednesday, February 7th drawing will be an estimated $12.6 million.

The numbers drawn Saturday were 12, 13, 20, 33, 42 and the Powerball was 37. The Power Play multiplier was 5.

Two lucky tickets in North Carolina Powerball (1) and Pennsylvania Powerball (1) correctly matched the 5 white numbers and won $200,000.

Twenty tickets matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000.
Eight additional winners of that prize category also had the Power Play option that multiplied the win 5 times for a total of $50,000!

A total of 89,326 winning Powerball players multiplied their prize by 5 Saturday. They were able to do that by purchasing the Power Play option for one dollar. With Power Play you multiply any winnings from 2-5 times, except for the jackpot. At the beginning of each drawing a wheel is spun to select that night’s multiplier.

Powerball Players purchased more than $19.6 million in tickets between Thursday and Saturday night.
